Protecting summer’s most important melon

It’s summertime, but watermelons aren’t the only things that should be on your mind – don’t forget to talk to your kids about the importance of wearing a helmet to protect their own melon.

Helmets play a huge role in keeping your kiddo’s noggin safe – they reduce injuries by 85 percent, and brain injuries by 88 percent. It is so important that Florida law actually requires helmets for kids biking (under 16).

FOX 35 News reporter Amanda Mckenzie joined David Sandbern with David’s World Cycle to demonstrate how a helmet should fit. Snug

and covering your forehead is your best bet to ensure that the helmet can do its job.
