Pauline, Linda and Gloria are at the UCF campus early every Tuesday morning, usually with their boyfriends, to make sure they get to lectures on time. Typical college coeds? Not exactly. They are students of LIFE (The Learning Institute for Elders) at UCF. This over-50 crowd of life-long learners attends educational, interesting and timely lectures every week. On September 30, they heard from Best Foot Forward about safe walking in Orange County.
With an audience of 400 LIFE course members, you can image the number of questions. But, the one question that drew the most responses focused on “learning” — driver’s license tests, test questions, DMV, and changing the law that requires new residents to take a Florida drivers’ license test.
Thank you to the LIFE at UCF curriculum committee, especially Lee Cross and David Bottomley, for inviting BFF to share this message to such an engaged and influential group. Read more about this program at https://life.ucf.edu/
