City of Orlando and Orange County engineers are hard at work to improve both your walking, biking, and driving experiences here. Some hand-picked favorite improvements happening now include:
- General Rees Avenue will soon see a new mid-block crosswalk to the South of Blue Jacket Park. It will appear at Sycamore Drive between Derran Lane and Upper Union Road. This summer project will provide better access to the beautiful green, recreation space and the neighborhoods of Baldwin Park and Audubon Park.
- The intersection of Rio Grande Avenue and Bryn Mawr Streetwill get a raised median providing protection to crossing pedestrians.
- In addition to the massive improvements already completed at Lake Underhill Road and Palmer Street, this will be the newest location for two Rectangular Rapid Flash Beacons.
