NAVIGATE: Articles | News | Fatalities | Get Involved | Professionals
It’s Wednesday, February 22, 2023, and welcome to the first issue of “Bike/Walk Wednesday Weekly” from Bike/Walk Central Florida (BWCF) and our Best Foot Forward for Pedestrian Safety program (BFF). Here we’ll provide a roundup of everything happening in the world of bikes, pedestrians, complete streets, and more! We aim to highlight local developments and news here in Central Florida to keep you in the loop on what your town or city and your neighboring municipalities may be up to! Additionally, we’ll sprinkle in some updates on projects around the state, country, and globe as well as any developments in general urban planning that we feel may be of value…And that’s just the start!
Staying up to date is great, but if you’re looking to get more involved, “Bike/Walk Wednesday Weekly” will also highlight a lot more every week. This includes upcoming bike/ped events and volunteer opportunities from the BWCF, BFF, and Healthy West Orange Trail Connection (HWOTC) which we also facilitate. We’ll do our best to include all public meetings and surveys for upcoming projects around the area too! Finally, if you’re really looking to learn more, we’ll provide a sample of upcoming webinars from our partners and related organizations from around the country.
These are big plans for a weekly email, and we’ll do our best to include the content that best suits you! As the “Bike/Walk Wednesday Weekly” develops throughout the coming weeks and months, we’d love your feedback! Is there something that you’d like to see included? Something that you don’t feel is of value? Something we missed? Any input you can provide is greatly appreciated!
That’s enough blabbering on for now – onto the news!
See you next Wednesday!
