Bike Bus has gone high-tech:
Ride the bus – the Bike Bus! Kitzzy Aviles says:
The Central Florida Bike Bus site has launched! We are dedicated to bringing together cyclists who want to commute by bike using the same roads as other vehicles. A bike bus is an organized group of cyclists with a common destination. Similar to a public transit bus, the bike bus follows a fixed route (check the website http://commuteorlando.com/bikebus/ for schedule), allowing riders to join and leave the bus at their convenience along the way. By riding as a group and following all traffic laws, we’ll improve our visibility and show that cyclists and motor vehicles can coexist in a positive and productive way. We currently have one route from Downtown Orlando to the UCF area, but hope to expand to more routes and schedules as we get more passengers. Check out the route on our site for more details and join us for all or part of an upcoming ride. You can also track the bus in real time at http://bikebustracker.com/

We observe all traffic laws and traffic signals.
Our rides are typically 10 to 15 miles, roundtrip, and average 10 miles an hour, a comfortable pace for most adults and teens. May be too fast for younger children and adults with health issues.
These rides are social in nature.
