Brookshire Elementary
- Parents and children were looking both ways before crossing the street. Drivers were yielding for the students
- Crossing guard Penny helped 59 children – double the usual number of children – cross the street

Ventura Elementary
- Orlando Police Department and Orange County Sheriff’s Office joined OCPS to fit bike helmets for students
- All students riding into school had their own helmet properly fitted or were given a new helmet
