Orange County is one of the fastest growing regions in the United States. In fact, by 2050 the County’s population is estimated to increase by 700,000, exceeding 2 million residents. Therefore, we need to prepare for this growth in a smart and responsible way. To do so, Orange County needs your continued engagement, participation, and input as county staff plans for future growth.
Beginning May 25, join Orange County for the 3rd and final Vision 2050 virtual Town Hall Series. There are six Town Hall Meetings to join virtually:
To register for any of the Town Hall meetings, please visit: www.bit.ly/v2050townhalls and select the event(s) you would like to join.
Unlike the 1st two Vision 2050 Town Hall Meeting Series that focused on specific market areas, each of the six (6) meetings in Series 3 will have a countywide context. The first two meetings will be used to introduce the new Orange Code format as well as the concept and purpose of transect zones. The 3rd and 4th meetings will be devoted to the proposed transect zones and their allowable uses. Finally, county staff or representatives will present other aspects of Orange Code and respond to public feedback during the 5th and 6th meetings.
Smart Growth and Sustainability are two of Orange County’s key planning goals. Together, we must rethink how we envision our communities by managing infrastructure growth while preserving our priceless cultural, historic and natural resources.
