Smart Growth America’s January edition of its Complete Streets newsletter shed some fast facts on the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation, or FAST, Act. This federal transportation bill is the first to include Complete Streets language.
More than 700 local, regional and state agencies throughout the nation, including Orlando, have adopted a Complete Streets policy to make their communities more bikeable, walkable and livable for everyone. On Dec. 14, 2015, Orlando’s City Council approved the Winter 2016 Package of Growth Management Project Amendments, which pertains to Complete Streets.
