This past weekend (July 28), the BFF team joined members of the community at Barnett Park for Commissioner Siplin’s annual Family Wellness Affair. Every year, families from all over the county come and join the festivities in preparation to go back to school. With all of the community support, there was something for everyone – from food trucks to health screenings to arts-and-crafts.
Going back to school can be an exciting time for families, but it can also mean dangerous conditions for people walking and biking. The BFF team fitted helmets, played games and educated the public on walking and biking safety to help prepare people for whatever the school year may bring.
Huge thanks to Commissioner Siplin for having us at this event and making family wellness a priority!
