“From fellow blogger Mary Shanklin comes this: The big ride-changer for Central Florida cyclists in 2014 is likely to be SunRail. Slated to open in May with stations from DeBary to south of Orlando, the commuter rail will accommodate at least 12 bikes per train. Tickets are $2 for riders, and bikes can ride for free. If the slots fill up, riders can stand in a car with their bikes. Among the options this opens up, I look forward to riding my bike from Maitland to work in downtown and then being able to climb aboard at the end of the day to head home sweat-free. Don’t get too SunRail needy though. It will only roll every half hour at peak times and every two hours in off times. On the weekends? Forget it.” – Orlando Sentinel article here
