First Friday Ride! (Note change in time, this month only)

This month only, we’re moving our First Friday ride up to Friday morning with two options for those of you working on your Bicycle Advocate merit badge :). A bunch of us will be mustering at 7:30 a.m. to ride with Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer from Infusion Tea on Edgewater in College Park. We’ll be meeting up with an even bigger bunch at Orange and Central, to make history with the first-ever Bicycle Flash Mob — Orlando. Tell your non-biking friends to scrape the rust off their chains and meet us on the plaza in front of the Orange County History Center before 8 a.m.  We know, it’s an inconvenient hour, but that’s what time the mayor was riding. The Flash Mob is going to fall in behind the Mayor’s ride as it goes by, and ride down Orange to City Hall. We’ll film the whole thing, put it to music and post it on YouTube. It’s going to be hard to get 1,000 folks at that hour, so please spread the word far and wide. Every bike counts. Any bike will do — even if they have to push it like a hobby horse for four blocks.
