Dr. Phillips Center for the Performer Arts, the Aloft Hotel, RIDA’s mixed-use development(adjacent to Lynx Central Station and Orange Avenue), Amway Center, Creative Village, and the list goes on. These are just a few of the projects in downtown Orlando that will usher in a wave of peds in 2014 – starting in Spring with SunRail and this Fall with the opening of the Art’s Center. Mayor Buddy Dyer spoke to what the City is doing to prepare for more peds on News 13 this month such as assessing pedestrian paths, connecting sidewalks, addressing ADA compliance, securing grants for Audible Pedestrian Signals and more.
