Certifiable? The answer is yes. Two BWCF’s project managers — Amanda and Joan – completed the Florida Traffic and Bicycle Safety and Education program and are now certified on Bike Helmet Fitting and running Bike Rodeos. Special thanks go to Lindy Moore. Some of the fast facts shared included:
- Florida Law states that all bike riders under 16 must wear a helmet
- Unintentional injury is the #1 killer for ages 0 to 14
- 60% of childhood bike deaths occur on minor roads and about one mile away from the home
