Last month, Evans High Community School was flooded with student volunteers cleaning up campus in honor of the Trojan Day of Service. Hundreds of students showed up to beautify projects such as repainting school signs and picking up garbage along Pine Hills and Silver Star roads.
Speaking of Silver Star Road, there’s news to share – the intersection of Silver Star Road and Kingsland Avenue is the first BFF monitored crosswalk to see 100 percent of drivers yielding. And a final shoutout to the students, teachers, and parents who now stop for the pedestrians in the crosswalk.
