BFF heads to Get Fit Day 2015

UntitledBFF was invited to set up a tent and table at the Get Fit Day event in Eagles Nest Park last Saturday and the rain could not stop the fun.

The No Limits vision is to progressively influence the health, education, and personal development of the unlimited lives we touch. A perfect marriage with Best Foot Forward’s mission to improve the health and wellness of people walking on our Central Florida streets. We were asked many questions throughout the day about driver and pedestrian laws and what we can all collectively do to make our roads safer.

What is the best way to control pedestrian traffic at school pick-up times?

  • Orange County engineers work hard to make sure that the carpool pick-up loops at all OCPS schools provide the space and infrastructure needed to direct the parents effectively. Some schools located in neighborhoods are often easier to get to because they have multiple entrances and exits to choose from, providing kids on foot with many options to create the shortest distance home as well. Any major road crossings are subject to a crossing guard to help direct students around the many cars arriving for pick-up.
  • If you know of an area that seems to be a dangerous crossing for students, please email [email protected] so we may inquire with the County how to solve the problem.
  • If you would like to be a crossing guard please click here for the City and here for the County.
