The results for the November Love to Ride Challenge have officially been tallied! The Challenge kicked off alongside Mobility Week following our Bike 5 Cities ride on November 1st and ran through the end of the month. Over 1,600 people in Florida used their pedal power in November. Altogether 308,134 miles were cycled, saving 11,642 lbs of CO2. This isn’t the end either. You can use the Love to Ride website to keep logging rides, tracking your progress, and setting goals all year round.
In addition to individual challenges and prizes, we wanted to acknowledge the outstanding efforts of Central Florida Workplaces riding in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties. The “top five” rankings below were tallied from workplaces across the state, and we’re impressed to have a great showing regionally and excited to have many of our partners at the top of the class! Congratulations!

Central Florida Clubs and Groups Results
Looking at the Bike/Walk Central Florida Group, which is open to the public for all to join…hint hint…we collectively cycled 5,451 miles across 359 trips throughout November. This effort was enough to put us in the number one spot for all but one of the Central Florida leaderboards for the challenge, including most commute days, most commute miles, most riders, most rides, and collective days ridden! A tip of the hat goes to the Women of Westside “WOW” for absolutely crushing the Bike Walk Central Florida group in miles-ridden!
Whether you rode solo all month long, enlisted in a workplace, or joined a group, a big kudos goes out to all of you for joining us on the streets and trails of Florida across November. While the Florida Love to Ride Challenge may be over for this year, you can still sign up to join our team at any time! It’s also a fun way to be a bit competitive with those cycling-related New Year’s resolutions, and Bike Month is right around the corner!
