In addition to easing traffic congestion, Altamonte Springs is launching several transportation projects to make it easier for all road users, including pedestrians and cyclists, to get around the area. Some of these projects include adding bicycle lanes to Montgomery Road, a pedestrian tunnel under S.R. 436 to the Altamonte Mall, and a 3 ½ mile pedestrian trail that will begin at the Seminole Wekiva trail.
