Bike Month: Local Biking Events

Friday, 05/01/15

Orlando’s Bike to Work Day

Mayor Buddy Dyer will take part in the City of Orlando’s annual Bike to Work Day. Mayor Dyer will lead bicyclists from Loch Haven Park along the Orlando Urban Trail to City Hall during this free event.

Friday, 05/01/15

First Friday Ride

An easy-paced, no drop ride for about an hour. Front and rear lights are required and helmets are a good idea.

Saturday & Sunday, 05/02/15 – 05/03/15

Bike MS: The Citrus Tour

Bike MS: The Citrus Tour 2015 takes you through the old Florida citrus groves. Hundreds of riders will experience the excitement of taking off from Fantasy of Flight in Polk City and enjoy the overnight stop at the Caribe Royale Resort for rest, relaxation and rejuvenation.

International Bike to School Day

Skip the car and ride to school with your child. OCPS students everywhere will be taking part. Ask your child’s school if they are meeting somewhere to ride together and use this time to teach your kids about bike and pedestrian safety.

CycloFemme 2015

The most happening thing in Winter Park and in the rest of the world on May 10th is a beautiful idea and movement created by Girl Bike Love, Language Dept and League of American Bicyclists. Please come join us, Performance Bicycles of Winter Park as “We Ride Together” accompanied by you all during CycloFemme 2015. This is a “NO-DROP” meeting at our location 251 North Orlanda Ave, Winter Park, celebrating “Women on Bikes” and we hope to see you there!

Ride of Silence – Clermont

The Clermont, Florida Ride of Silence will start from Waterfront Park on Lake Minneola. We welcome cyclists from all around Central Florida to join us. At 6:30pm we will say a few words about the cyclists that are no longer riding with us and remind everyone about the ride details.
At 7:00pm we will roll out of Waterfront Park for an 8-mile ride at 12mph (clock-wise) around Lake Minneola.
