Trail lovers – a new segment of the Shingle Creek Regional Trail is now open

If you’re ready to enjoy the cooler weather, you’re in luck. Arrow Ridge, the newest segment of the popular Shingle Creek Regional Trail, is officially open. The 1,800-foot section includes a bike rack, two pavilions and two tables in addition to its’ beautiful recreational path for runners, cyclists and pedestrians. The surrounding thick forest is a great backdrop for those cool Floridian days.

Arrow Ridge is only the beginning of the planned additions to the Shingle Creek Regional Trail. Coming next October is Toho Vista South, a larger section which adds about 4,500 feet of new trail and a pedestrian bridge over the west city canal. The Toho Vista portion will connect to Kissimmee Lakefront Park, expanding continuous trail for miles. Learn more here.

Luckily, the Shingle Creek Regional Trail has multiple segments in the development stage. When all are complete the path with connect various systems through Osceola and Orange counties. Central Florida is gradually becoming a trail destination, so get out there and enjoy!
